Jaguar fully revealed the new XE – the car they hope will be a runaway success in the premium compact sector – at the Paris Motor SHow this week, and they’ve been quick to get a configurator for the XE live so potential buyers (and time-wasters) can get stuck in and see just what’s on offer. And there’s plenty to choose from. With a range of prices for the new XE starting at £26,995 for the XE 2.0i 200PS and rising to £44,870 for the XE 3.0i S/C 340PS, there’s an XE to suit a wide range of budgets.
The Supercharged, 503bhp Jaguar XFR
All the Jaguar news of late has been on the new Jaguar XJ. But the car that started the real Jaguar Renaissance was the Jaguar XF, and the halo version of that successful car is the 503bhp Jaguar XFR. So when Jaguar called and asked if we’d like a Jaguar XFR for a few days it would have been churlish to decline!
Ford S-Max
Following the unveiling of the SAV concept at Geneva last year comes the production version, the S-MAX. Sharing much in common with the new Galaxy, the S-Max aims to have greater dynamic appeal and retain a closer connection with Ford of Europe's 'Kinetic Design' ethos.
